PREVENTATIVE CARE
Dental Cleanings & Exams:
Pediatric dental cleanings and exams are an essential part of maintaining a child's oral health and ensuring they develop good habits that last a lifetime. These regular visits to the dentist help prevent tooth decay, gum disease, and other dental issues, as well as ensure that any potential problems are caught early. Patient and family education are also critical parts of a child's first dental visits.

Fluoride Treatments:
Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps strengthen tooth enamel and prevent tooth decay. Fluoride treatments are often applied in a professional dental setting to boost the protection against cavities.

Sealants:
Dental sealants are thin, protective coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth (molars and premolars). These surfaces have deep grooves and pits where food and bacteria can become trapped, leading to tooth decay. Sealants are designed to "seal out" food particles and bacteria from these hard-to-clean areas. Sealants are easy to apply, and are a critical tool to prevent tooth decay.

Early Orthodontic Evaluation:
Every pediatric dental exam at our practice includes monitoring your child’s growth and development. An early orthodontic evaluation, typically between the ages of 6 and 8, allows us to assess your child’s dental and facial development. This early consultation aims to identify potential issues with tooth alignment, jaw position, or bite, even before permanent teeth fully erupt. Early evaluations help guide treatment at the right time, often preventing more serious concerns in the future. If orthodontic care is recommended, we provide referrals to trusted local orthodontists and work closely with them as part of your child’s dental care team to ensure the best outcomes.

RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY
Restorative dentistry focuses on diagnosing and treating dental problems in children, with the goal of restoring the function, health, and appearance of their teeth. Restorative treatments are necessary when a child's teeth are damaged due to decay, trauma, or other dental issues. The ultimate aim is to preserve and restore the teeth to ensure proper development and maintain the child’s overall oral health. At our pediatric dental practice, we offer a wide range of restorative procedures to ensure that a treatment plan can be tailor made for your child.

ORAL SURGERY
Our pediatric dental practice offers a range of safe and gentle oral surgery services for children, including tooth extractions and the treatment of dental injuries. Our experienced team prioritizes comfort and care, and has the ability to use various levels of sedation when needed to ensure a stress-free experience. We work closely with parents to create a personalized treatment plan, ensuring that every procedure is tailored to your child’s needs.

MINIMALLY INVASIVE DENTISTRY
Minimally invasive dental treatment is the cutting edge of pediatric dentistry. These treatment methods require no anesthesia (numbing medicine), making the procedures more comfortable and tolerable for patients. Since these procedures are less invasive, patients typically experience quicker visits, and more rapid recovery time. Some of the minimally invasive methods employed in our practice are Hall crowns, Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF), as well as the SMART technique. These methods are not appropriate for all clinical situations, but are a powerful tool in our toolbox of treatment modalities.

SEDATION SERVICES
At our pediatric dental practice, we understand that some children may feel anxious about dental visits. To ensure your child’s comfort and provide the best care possible, we offer a variety of sedation options tailored to their needs:
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas): For mild anxiety, nitrous oxide is a safe and effective solution. This calming gas helps your child feel relaxed and comfortable during their dental procedure, while allowing them to remain fully alert and aware. The calming affects of nitrous oxide have a rapid onset and dissipate in seconds.
In-Office Sedation: For more involved procedures, we offer
in-office sedation with a licensed anesthesiologist. This allows us to complete all needed dental work in one office visit while your child is comfortably asleep. Safety is our top priority, and your child is monitored very closely for the duration of the visit.
General Anesthesia: For more complex procedures or children requiring extensive dental work, we offer general anesthesia at a trusted outpatient surgery center in Beachwood. In this setting, your child will be fully asleep and comfortable throughout the procedure, and our team will ensure their safety and well-being every step of the way.
We are committed to providing a positive, stress-free experience for both children and parents, and we work closely with you to choose the best sedation option for your child’s needs.
